Job Description: 

  • Gathers, analyzes, defines, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, including customers and end-users.
  • Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision based on the business case.
  • Ensures that requirements are complete, consistent, comprehensible, feasible, and conform to standards.
  • Develops and utilizes standard templates to write requirement specifications that are accurate and concise.
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements that are clear and comprehensible to developers and project teams.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide developers and/or the project team.
  • Reviews the business requirements with peers to ensure that requirement specifications are interpreted correctly.
  • Assists with interpreting customer requirements into viable options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and redefines as necessary.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally and through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
