Data Engineer – Data Architecture / Engineering Team
Key Skills & Experience
Azure Data Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Azure Data Lake.
- Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and storage best practices in Azure.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
Power BI Development
- Ability to create and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience in implementing data models, DAX calculations, and visualization best practices.
Collaboration & Optimization
- Work closely with data architects to identify, implement, and document data optimizations.
- Support the design and improvement of data pipelines and workflows for better scalability and performance.
Data Governance & Cataloging
- Exposure to Unity Catalog setup and governance principles for secure, well-managed data access.
- Understanding of data lineage, security, and compliance within cloud data platforms.
Additional Qualities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with architects and developers.
- Passion for learning emerging Azure data technologies and improving data delivery efficiency.
Preferred Experience
- 8 years of experience in data engineering.
- Prior exposure to Azure-based data projects (Databricks, Synapse, Power BI).
- Experience working in enterprise-scale or consulting environments preferred.
