Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Developer to manage the full lifecycle of systems development for our cloud-based data platform in the retail energy sector. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Java, frontend technologies, and database management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and support cloud-based data platform built on Java, Spring/Play Framework, MySQL, and Cassandra
Design and develop end-to-end integrated solutions including technical specifications, coding, and testing
Build responsive, high-performing user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
Act as subject matter expert on database and data access patterns
Provide on-call support; triage, diagnose, and remediate production issues
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for platform improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on implementation planning
Required Skills
Backend: Java, Spring/Play Framework, REST APIs
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React/Angular/Vue
Database: MySQL, Cassandra, SQL
Good to Have: Python, Power BI, MS Excel, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
